HCCC - Covid Update
Date of Event Hoppers Crossing Cricket Club : Sun Aug 30, 2020 1:45PM

The club would just like to provide a short update regarding the current state of play and what we currently know (which isn't a great deal) about what this season looks like.

In terms of start dates, all of the associations we are involved with have varying plans in place for start dates. At this stage these are all entirely dependant on government restrictions so there is no certainty here. Earliest start dates if all goes well at this stage looks like early November.

Somethings that we do have certainty on, and that all of our players and parents should be aware of

 - There will be no sharing of equipment whatsoever. For some of our players this may require some planning and we are exploring some options to see if there are suppliers who our community could go to for kit

 - Attendance at training and games will require a sign in and sign out. We will try and make this as simple as possible, but junior parents will more than likely be required to physically attend and sign their child in and out of training while seniors will use a digital form if all goes well

 - no sweat or saliva will be used on the ball at any stage

There will also be no doubt a range of other processes that the club and its players will be required to adhere by. The health and safety of our community is our priority so we will be complying with all requirements.

Over the next week, we will be sharing both here and via email an expression of interest form that will be the first stage of our registration process this year. This will help us to plan, and only those who fill out this form will be sent digital registration forms when the time is right so please ensure if you intend to play this season you fill this out.

Until then stay healthy, stay safe and look out for each other. Be sure to reach out if you need any support.
